Facilities

The Parkinson Veterinary Surgery is a fully equipped, modern veterinary clinic and it is set up to ensure that you and your pet receive the absolute best care from the moment you walk in the door. In addition to the providing the facilities necessary to ensure excellent service, our staff are trained to make your pets visit to the veterinarian as enjoyable as possible. We hope you enjoy this virtual tour of our clinic, and look forward to welcoming you and your pet to our practice.

  • This is the first place you will see when you enter our clinic, and it is designed to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible, and to ensure efficient service.

  • No matter what type of pet you have (we see reptiles, birds, rodents, and of course cats and dogs) we will make them feel at home. This room is designed to make your pet feel so good that they don't even notice the vet's examination or their injections. Once your pet's comfortable, we give them all the treats they can eat and if they're nervous our nurses are always happy to help cuddle them and distract them while the vet finishes the examination. The room is well ventilated and air conditioned, and of course, always clean.

  • The surgery room is well-equipped with modern equipment for a large variety of surgeries. The most common surgeries at this clinic are desexing, lump removals, foreign body removals, and bladder stone removals. We also frequently do orthopaedic surgeries including hip and knee procedures. For the safety and comfort of our patients we offer IV fluids (to maintain hydration and blood pressure, and to provide vein access in the case of an emergency) and long-acting pain relief.

  • Dental procedures are normally done under general anaesthetic using all the same safety measures we employ for any other surgery. We have equipment for dental scaling and polishing, as well as for dental extractions.

  • Our lab allows us to accurately and efficiently analyze blood and urine samples in house. In addition to several machines for automated analysis, we also perform microscopic analysis to visually analyze blood samples and cells to look for abnormalities.

We have an x-ray machine and development equipment on site, so you get to see your pet's x-ray results very quickly. This minimizes the stress for the patient, and allows us to easily obtain addition x-rays from different perspectives if needed to complete the picture.
